HL Mst's
 

Want to know what anyone who has run the tire or knows of people who have what they think of it for an all around tire? They look like they'd be a good tire for what I do which is a little mud, plowing snow in the winter and trail riding in the spring and summer as well as fetching big bucks! Any and all opinions are welcomed.

Yes, your assumptions are correct. I had them on my Brute 750, and they worked well in all conditions. I found them to be a little stiff, but not bad if you keep the PSI down to under 4. I switched to bighorns and they rode so much smoother, but were not in comparison in the mud.

Another option is mudbugs. They will be lighter and do everything that the MST will.

Overall the MST is a great all around tire and wore like iron. I had 27's and they measured exactly the same as 26" bighorns. Just to give you a reference. Mudbugs measure a little under stated also.

Yet, another option is zillas (not mudzillas).

I would really check out the ITP Mudlite Xtr, they have a similar tread pattern, but they are radial, so they will ride much smoother, and, they are a fair amount lighter than the MST's

PS, the cheapest place around on the XTR's is eBay, in 27" for sure, I'm not sure about other sizes though

I've never known the XTR to be lighter than the MST. Tread is similar though. In my case, the 27" MST was only a few lbs more than the 26" bighorns.
