Default When to do first oil change

Well it took awhile (thanks to sub-division living) I will have enough miles / hours for my first oil change on my 08 800. I have one last trip planned this fall (in a few weeks) that will get me up to around 200 miles on the odometer, maybe a few more. So my question is this: After this trip the quad will be parked all winter in the garage, should I change fluids before I park it, or service it in the spring with new fluids then?

I would do it befor your last ride. I did my first top to bottom oils cange after 25 hrs. Y have to much invested to not spend the money. and fresh oils for the storage time IMO is best

If it's going to sit idle all Winter then you will want to change the fluids before putting it away. Also be sure that all the fuel you use on that last ride has fuel stabilizer in it. That way you know it's protected. Good idea to pull the battery and keep it someplace warm and preferably with a trickle charger on it.

It doesnt hurt to pull it out once a week or so and run it for an hour. That kills the need to tender the battery and circulates the oil

Thats my plan at least
