REAR SHOCK ON 99SC SOUNDS UGLY???
#1
The rear shock on my 99sc 500 makes a weird squeaking sound after riding for awhile. I tried oiling at different pivot points but doesnt help. Whats causing this? Anybody, please help. P.S. Has anybody tried an 3 inch extended swingarm from HotSeat or Aean? Just curious if they would improve performance on aggressive trails? Thanks

My rear Fox shock went bad on me too one day. It would move real slow, giving me a rough ride on the trails. I took it off and sent it to a guy who fixes them throught my local Polaris dealer. It was completly rebuilt for $85 and now it works great. Sand and water can enter the shock if your seals go bad and contaminates the shock's oil.

rooster500,
I have the 3" extended swingarm for my 1997 non-concentric drive Sport. It actually makes the stock back shock work better. The suspension in much more plush, plus I get about another 1 1/2 inch of travel. It was a pain in the *** to put on though. It should be easier for the Concentric drive models though.
