Use wd 40 and a rag on the exhaust.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I'm not in a position to pull of the axles just yet, but having them powder coated sure sounds like a great idea, and I may go that route.

As for cleaning the machine, I use automotive soap and soft sponge, then dry it off with a chamois. I then use a gloss enhancer from zainobros.com for the finishing touches.

Thank you Rancher, it's good to be back. I've been going crazy with work lately and just did a nice 60 mile ATV ride with some high school friends. I've hit almost every mud hole and the machine just blasted through it

HighOctane, I will have to try that engine detailer to see how that works. I may invest in one of those small electric pressure washers for washing underneath the ATV.

I guess I'm just too picky
