Default Bighorns on 2009 XP 850

Hey guys. I'm planning on replacing the OEM tires on my new XP and was wondering if Bighorns will fit on this thing without any mods. I'm not interested in bending the torsion bars.

11" in the rear? Not on stock wheels on the 09...you will either need to bend the say bar or run aftermarket wheels or wheelspacers.
Bending the sway bar is not hard at all...and done right you can't visually tell it has been done, unless of course you know the tires won't fit stock...handling is not affected.

So would spacers be so bad?? A little wider stance? It's a bummer to, i really like the bighorns. I'm sure there are other great tires out there though. Snow removal would be the area were I would need the most traction. It's not like I'm going to use it in serious mud. A dozen times a year I'm going to be plowing my driveway. What do you think? Would chains be the best idea for snow traction?

Spacers wouldn't be so bad if you don't mind the extra width...personally I'd just bend the sway bar....
BTW...I can't give you any advice on snow traction...I see snow about every 10 years here and when I do it is barely enough to cover the ground.

Put in four wheel drive and keep pushing would be my thought.

Default bighorns on 850 xp

duro tire makes a copy of the bighorn in the stock size that comes on the 850 (26x8x14 for front and 26x10x14 back)and will fit with no problems plus they are priced lower than the bighorns but no white letters.

You may have to bend the sway bar to fit the chains on the rear, I did.

On a side note.....I do have an extra set of bighorns and SS112's for sale for cheap if anybody is looking.

Sorry for the shameless plug

Shameless plugs are always welcome. porider thanks for the duro tire info. As patrolman suggested I think I'll try 4 wheel drive first and then chains and spacers if all else fails. So this winter will be the learning curve. I'll keep you guys posted, pictures and all.

Thanks

Dan

So I just took some measurements and I won't need much of a spacer out back. Who makes quality spacers. Probably only need .5"-1".
