Default Suspension ?

Tried to look on here before I asked to avoid asking a question that had been answered a thousand times, but couldn't find what I needed.

How do I adjust the rear suspension on my 2007 Sportsman 500? It's IRS and I love it, but if I try and tow something with more than 50lbs of tongue weight, it squats damn near to the ground. Is there a tool I can use, as opposed to throwing a wrench on there? Where do I get one?

Anyway...Thanks a million for all your help, now and in the past.

C

You can use a big adjustable channel lock plier to do it as well. However, it might scratch it up a bit.

Normally if they are not full of dirt you can turn with a big channel lock, but like previous post you might scrath them up a little.

Another fix that will help some is heavy duty suspension springs if your doing a lot of towing. EPI offers them.

I have also seen people lock their suspension from moving when towing a lot. Usually a bar from the hitch to the frame and locks the a-arms from moving

If you jack up the rear of the quad under the center frame (hitch) you will reduce the spring load and free up some weight to make the adjustment alot more easy.....Caper...........
