Sportsman 700 Rear Drive
Hey guys I am replacing the u-joints in the rear drive driveshaft of a 2004 Sportsman 700. I have knocked the pins out but can't seem to get the drive shaft out. Am I just not holding my mouth right or does the rear end have to be unbolted and slid back to remove the driveshaft?
Thanks! |
You have to slide it back. I just did seals on mine

Thanks!
I was afraid that is what I was going to hear. Just made the job alot bigger!!! |
It's not as bad as it looks!

Thanks and you were correct. Fixed it last night and wasn't a big deal at all sliding back the rear end back. The worst part was getting the old u joint out. I ended up have to cut it out with a torch.
