my 2009 is the same way, gets pretty darn hot on right side of the machine.. unbearable at times...

Default Ceramic coating (Jet Hot)
I had mine ceramic coated made a huge difference. Took pipe off and shipped to Jet Hot quick turnaround. Less than a week. 150-200 dollars. Well worth it. The wrapping works but issues with rusting after gets wet. Also put extra heat foil on side panels and gas tank...
