My 10 year old brother is thinking about buying a Scrambler 90 or a Sportsman 90. If some owners of these quads could answer a few questions that would be helpful:) Thanks
(we ride mostly dunes and trails and he will probably be riding in some open fields and stuff)

1)What is the top speed?
2)What Performance mods is available?
3)Is it possible if he modded it out could it ever beat a blaster (stock)?
4)Which is better sportsman 90 or scrambler 90. for our type of riding?
5)He is 4'7 90 lbs 10yrs old how long will this quad last him?
6)what are some opinions about these quads?

I am 13 years old 110pounds,5 foot7.I rode a yamaha breeze(i think it is 125cc) a year ago and was fairley impressed. I would recomend it if you can afford it. It will probly last him 2-3 years before he NEEDS something bigger where the scram90 would be too small in a year.

First top speed is around 35mph and the scrambler and sportsman 90 are the same just different plastic and a front bumper. No differents on anything else. Trick it out who would want to it is a little unstable now you add more speed and it would be worse than trying to put a 5 horse motor on your bicycle. Its a good kids 4 wheeler but the size makes it bad for off camber and thing that you would fly over on a full size. Its to narrow and small what you would fly over would swollow the 90 up. Don't get me wrong we have a 2001 and my daughter loves it but it is not stable enough to get to crazy with it.

If you want a real quad you should look at the honda 90. It is very sporty and pretty fast. It would also last him a while. Sorry to come into the Polaris forum and tell you something you didnt ask about but it is a nice quad. You can also find mods for the Honda 90.
