POLARIS 500 won't start
 

It ran fine out of the garage then it seemed like it was loading up then it backfired and ran rough for a while and now I can't get it started

any suggestions would be helpful

start w/ the basics and see if it's getting spark and how does the plug look? wet,dry it will tell you if it's getting gas as well. if it has spark and is dry then it could be a dirty carb.

yeah,todays gas is got poor stability,,,,,,,years ago i never used stabil but i must now.even after a couple months i smelled varnish in a neighbors mower...........
