Here is the updated PCV on 850 XP's

well here is a pic of the updated pcv for the 850 XP looks like the slots will allow water to drain back in instead of pooling and freezing the rubber that sits inside or maybe even releases pressure back in hope it works, note the moisture in the old one on the right the new style is on the left

great picts ,does it look like we could heat up steel rod and melt notches at same locations or grind with dremel tool ?does the construction look much different looks like we could modify existing one fairly easily or do you think we need to get an updated one just wondering anybody else think???:huh:

for 18 bucks i would just put the new one in i think the center is depressed in a little more too

only the 850 XP'S are affected your 800 is fine

18 bucks ill just buy it, not worth the time and agrivation, just for piece of mind hope this finally fixes it

you are probably right about getting them free if you wanna wait i wasn't gonna wait till they were ready i wanted them now, one time is enough of that crap so i bit the bullet and bought them now and in my mind $17 isn't too bad for peace of mind

new pcv update
same here went to dealer to check [he wasnt aware yet] and ordered mine back ordered 4 days from polaris just happy to know I got one coming heres my part#s check with your dealer to make sure
part#5438868 carriage-filter out[supercedes older updated one he says] #5437432 felt breather #5413445 o-ring #5413446 o-ring about 18 dollars + 2 new o rings |
