Default Question for EPICHAD

i just bought 28" swamplite's for my 2011 850XP and i weigh close to 350 and was wondering what you would reccomend, i really don't want to give up top end, and even before the bigger tires i noticed a difference off the line between my 09 and 11, with the 09 being faster and noticeably, i was looking at part numbers looks like they changed clutch weights a little, i know absolutley nothing about clutching, i had an epi clutch kit in my 05 800 and loved it but i just don't want to lose much top end if i don't have too any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you very much

I would recommend going with an EPI Sport Utility Clutch Kit. It's going to give you great all around performance. You would see a noteable difference in throttle response, less belt slippage, and minimal top end loss.

We don't have a PN on our site for the 2011, but if you are interested, just send a PM and we can provide you with pricing.

not sure if it matters or not for the type of clutching i need but i installed a Power Commander V, with the map for no exhaust no airfilter, it helped in the mid to upper rpms but did nothing for bottom end

Sorry for the slow response - just getting some time away from testing and getting caught up going throught the posts. The 2011 850 and 550 Sportsmans have different secondary clutches from the 2009-2010 models. We do not list a complete kit yet but have done some testing last fall with them. We were waiting to see if the 2012 models were going to use the same style clutch before we built the new helix for them. I do have a set up that will help you and do what your looking for by changing the primary spring, weights, and a secondary spring. Give us a call 218-829-6036 or a email for more info. Thanks!
