Question Snow Plow for Scrambler 500 4x4?

Where is a good place to buy a snow plow kit for a 2005 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4? I need the blade, winch, brackets, and all electrical wires for winch. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money but i will pay a decent amount. Any websites to look at?

Also will my Polaris 500 4x4 be able to plow snow good or am i going to get stuck alot? Does anyone else use a Polaris Scrambler 500 to plow? I'm really just looking to plow driveways and sidewalks. And i think a 54 inch plow blade would be good.

its a 4x4 so i dont for see it getting suck anymore than any other wheeler. as for it being a good plow atv. well there built for sport not utility. but just use low. and i cant see why it would be any differnt. iv seen some one put a plow on a trail blazer. there only 2wd and a smaller engine. it seemed like it worked for him.

im shure theres someone on here with more input.

Should work just fine. I already have a plow and I plan on putting it on my Scrambler as soon as I find a bracket for it. The Scrambler doesn't have low gear but that's fine, you don't need low anyway. I never used low even on the Trail Boss 250. High gear works better because you can go faster and keep the snow moving. That way the moving weight of the machine is doing most of the work. A 54" plow would probably work, but a 48" would be better. It's easier to push the snow with a little smaller blade rather than going with the biggest blade possible like everyone seems to do.

You definitely need to get your clutch issues worked out before plowing though.

buttons in your rear clutch are likely broken.

I've got a plow that I had on my 250 Trailblazer with the same frame. It worked great! The plow and bracket were about $450 new. I didn't use a winch cause it was too easy to just pull back on the bar to raise the plow. This one's a 48" and I pushed 12" of snow with no problems, I just put chains on the back tires and added weight to the rear rack. Your 4x4 would have no problem pushing snow at all.

I just sold my quad and still have the plow. I'm going back and forth on whether I'm gonna keep it or not. If you're anywhere near northern Indiana and interested, I'd let it go for $300 firm. The plow is still brand new.

I live in South Dakota and plowed with my scrambler last year, and we get from 36-55" of snow annually and it does ok. You need to be mindful of the high gear only and it will be fine. I could tell when the belt was getting smoked and backed off. You are not going to move mountains with it and just know you may use up a good belt doing it.
