Default 04 sportsman footwell

My right side footwell is broken on my 04.5 400 sportsman and I found a junked 04 600. The left side part numbers are the same but the right side are different. Anyone know if this will work even with a bit a modification. I haven't seen the part in person just online.

Think the difference is if your front fender tucks in the slot of the foot well and I think the 600 is the older style that has the three bolts holding the fender to the foot well?? May be wrong on this? OPT

but the weird thing is that the 400 and 600 have the same part numbers for the left but different for the right, I wonder if the footbrake has something to do with it

Think I remember now that it might have something to do with the supports under the foot well or the way the mud flaps mount?? Could be the only difference since the left foot well #'s are the same?? Haven't looked close at the parts break down on these. OPT
