05 Polaris Predator 50 won't start

First off, thanks in advance for any and all advice. My son has a 05 Predator 50 that he rode real hard through the mud, water dirt and anything else he could find. After a ride he parked to be washed and from then on it would not start. We took it to Rays Yamaha Polaris in Reading PA. It has been there for over 2 months. So far they have claimed that the carb needed to be cleaned, so they did that. Then the stator needed to be replaced, so they did that. Then the compression was 110 so they wanted to rebuild the top end, so they did that. Other then costing me some serious money they indicated that it still does not run. Any recommendations?

Welcome to the forum! Think you need to get the machine out of "Ray's",get a cheap online manual(try Partshark.com first to see if they are up and running and still have free manuals) Other sites are cheap on this manual and it will show the wiring schematic and electrical and mechanical checks. "IF" they've done all that they say they have, then sounds like you could have a wiring problem, safety switch short, the resistor could have shorted out (if they haven't ruled this out) water could have gotten in and damaged the ignition switch, starter relay, left control switch with the starter interlock??Plus could have a coil or cdi problem(covered in the manual)Or could even be a crank seal problem?? This is a fairly simple engine, they should have found the problem by now. OPT
