New tires for a 08 sportsman 800?

I am looking to purchase a new set of tires and I have been looking at the Pitbull Rokkers I want to stick with something close to the stock size tires Im still currently running.

Does anyone have these on there sportsman 800? and if so how do you like them and what size are u running? I would like to keep as close to stock as I dont want to have to do any other modifications.

Thanx for any input

I have the 26.5" Rockers on my 850. They ride good and have great traction. The rears are definitely showing some wear. They have worn down to the bottom of the dimples with about 850 miles on them. That's about an 1/8" of wear. The fronts have about 1/16" more tread on them. If I could just leave the 4x4 switch in 4x4, I'm sure they would wear better. The front edges of the lugs are wearing fast. I'm thinking I will need to rotate the rears to get the better edges facing forward before I start riding in the snow this winter. As much as I like them, I'm not sure I would buy another set. I'm not sure they are worth the extra money you have to pay for them. I might go back to Bighorns when this set is worn out.

i know there not the tires you asked about, but for wear i loved the xtr's for traction and they worn like iron.:)

i am running 27" itp xtr's and love them, they have been great on the new england trails which could be steep rocky climbs to deep mud.

Whatever you decide to get, make sure they clear the tie rod ends in front. The rears aren't usually a problem fit-wise.

No doubt, i had some titan tires with their rims, i had to run spacers. I just went with ITP rims/tires and no longer need spacers for clear the tie rods, steering/handling is sooooooo muc better!

The only reason I would hesitate to get new rims is if you ride on trails with width limitations. When I had the Sportsman X2 I got a tire/rim package. It made the front end 51" wide. I ride some trails with a 50" restriction. I ended up staying with the stock rims, getting longer wheel studs, and using a 3/8" spacer. I got the studs here: Polaris Extended Wheel Studs #186 : Polaris : Sportsman / ATV : Sportsman Accessories

Moose, i had to run 1" spacers with the titan rims/tires. the ITP setup i ordered is much better an no longer need the spacer. Also even though both sets were 27" tires the front ITP's are 1" narrower, having the correct tire/rim combo is something that shouldnt be overlooked...i now know this.
My quad is now under 50" again.
