Carrying dogs on ATV?

Im looking for good solutions. I have a pair of Westies,( small terriers) I would like to carry on some trips with us. We usually ride rocky terrain, so Im concerned about the dogs having to balance and shift weight a lot. I saw a soft carrier that was a bit bigger than the size of the dog. It had an opening in the top that fit the dogs head perfect. I dont want to use a crate, because the dogs would be shifting around so much I think they would get sore joints from having to balance so much. I also dont want to use any type of bed that they can jump off of.
Any thoughts or pics? Thanks, Frank

Here is how we bring our dog along on rides. I wouldn't want anything that would keep a dog from getting away from the atv if something goes wrong.

Bobx2, that grin on your dogs face is hilarious. He looks mighty happy. Im thinking something enclosed so they cant jump out. I saw a nice soft unit, but the guy couldnt remember where he got it.

She loves to ride. She jumped out one time to go after a chipmunk while the wife was going about 10+ mph. Took a tumble and scuffed her chin. Now she doesn't get out until stopped. Dogs seem to learn a little quicker than humans.

Did you ever find something to work for your small dogs? I'm looking for something for my dogs, I have a 2016 AC Wildtrail Trail. THANKS!

This is what i did for my Long-haired Chihuahua - Sally from the Valley - RIP.

Simple milk crate held with bungees. Padding underneath and inside, put enough padding to have her sit 'held' without bouncing around. She enjoyed the front's view and air flow alot! Going this route allows me to change the use of the quad's front or rear areas quickly so win-win for everyone!
