Welcome! Efi or carb model? Does make a difference! If it's a carb model could the infamous ecm module that was under recall. Even the US made replacements could fail. OPT

If the lights don't come on,or you have charging or fan problems after you install a new battery, then the ecm could be at fault again.Make sure while running you're charging 14-14.5 volts back to the new battery. Hope the new battery solves the problem, plus keep it on a maintainer and the battery should last for years. OPT

Simple test light or meter to the starter to see if has power when you try to start it will tell if the solenoid is throwing power to the starter or not. Plus you can jump the solenoid battery wire and starter wire to see if the starter works. You can find out quick which one is bad or even possibly both? Plus make sure the small wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid has power when you try to crank it(red/white or red wire) Plus you can't ever rule out another bad ecm causing the problems!
