Has anyone installed the HPD lower steering post upgrade. I just received mine and the steering post doesn't just slide in. Do i have to hammer it in or machine the bearing in some way ?

I had a machinist friend make mine, and it was a tight fit. I would suggest taking some emory cloth to the steering shaft and cleaning it up some, mostly to remove the paint. Then put some grease on the shaft and the bushing and just work with it. The bushing you have may be a tighter fit than the one I had made. We built ours by taking measurements from a new plastic Polaris bushing, and then looking at the pictures of the HPD unit.

Good luck.
