Scrambler 400 throttle response

Ok so I got my 2001 polaris scrambler 400 from the shop last week. It has a fresh topend bored .020 over and when I mash the throttle it takes of real slow and the throttle response is also really slow it almost feels as of there isn't any bottom end. Thanks for you in outs guys

First thing I could think of if you've eliminated any carb or fuel problem since you have a new top end is either a worn belt or rear clutch ramp button wear. Either one or both could affect acceleration, power or top end speed.

I kinda figured a belt it has good top end speed it just takes a long time to get up there ill check my belt tomorrow how could I check the clutch ramp

Place a straight edge over both clutches and pull the top part of the belt down. If the distance between the top of the belt and straight edge is 1 1/2 " or more, then time for a new belt. You really need to tear the rear clutch down to see if the buttons are worn, but you can remove the belt, hold the rear sheath of the clutch and turn the outer part. If you hear any metallic noise or feel a grinding, then it's pretty certain you need to look into the rear clutch. Plus don't over look the 6 glide buttons in the front clutch also. Just pull up the center of the belt and walk it off the rear clutch. Install the new belt with the numbers facing you on the front clutch first and walk the belt over the rear clutch. Plenty of videos on YouTube on different repairs for Polaris atvs.
