2002 Polaris pread 90 losing my mind
I can not get fire on this thing I have tried everything so I narrowed it down to the stator we also have a little extreme 90 that was running but the tranny went south so I removed the stator coil and cdi off of it still no spark bypassed all of the kill and safety switches still nothing what am I doing wrong

Not all brands of Chinese/Taiwan stators and ignition parts will work even if the connections do. If you're sure it's down to the stator,I'd order an oem for it,OR the only other place I'd trust is Ricky Stator,I've used them before at the shop. Several people on the forum have gone through this already.http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/p...bly-p-336.html

I understand your point sir this is the exact same one down to the part #s that I did a cross reference on I know there is 5 wires coming out of the stator white/Red which is the trigger black/red which is the exciter coil black/white would be start/stop white which would run to the reg black should be ground now the yellow/red wire is what I think is whats getting to me I am bypassing all of the switches if I could afford the rickys stator I would buy it in a heart beat but seeing that I am parting atvs together for my sons friend my little brother and friends son it gets costly after awhile I have the key to it and all just don't want electric start or anything like that just to make It as simple as possible all the boys do is run circles around a track non stop just needing some help

This looks like the basic wiring diagram of the coil/cdi.First before you ditch the Polaris cdi, pull or snip the black kill circuit wire(not the ground) and see if you have spark. If you do and you've eliminated all the switches, the cdi kill circuit could be shorting out internally. This is one of the first steps on the ignition test from the manual..
