If you suspect the cam timing is off,STOP! The flywheel and stator plate have to be removed to get to the lower sprocket. The mark on it must align with the mark on the case.The cam must be oriented right with the chain tensioner out,then you can set the cam chain.After cam timing is,correct,replace the tensioner assy.
