Default Sportsman -only 1 low beam works, and no high beam

Hello all, I recently bought my first used atv. 2009 sportsman 800 twin ho
I bought it with only one low beam headlight working, i just figured i had to replace the bulbs. I bought new bulbs but that does not seem to be the problem.
When i switch to high beam - no light. When it's on low beam - only 1 side works.
I have not really started troubleshooting yet, I know a lot more about mechanical than electrical things. I was wondering if anyone can start by pointing me in the right direction of what i should look for.
much appreciated.

Just check the low beam wiring on each side that goes under the front panel, green and brown wires. Could be a wire disconnected. Take the screws out of the headlight pod and check the connector and wiring on the high beam bulb.Could be as simple as a burnt bulb.
