Do Polaris ECM's need to be programmed?
 

When you purchase a Polaris ECM new, do you also need to have a polaris service dept. program the module? The module I am concerned about is a 4012443.

I have read a lot about people changing them but I think you just put them on and your ready to go. They must be mapped already.

This is the ecm model for the Sportsman and Ranger. You can hook it up and see if it cranks,plus performs all other functions,allows display,etc.. If not it will have to be programmed to your machine By Digital Wrench.
