Default '99 Polaris Scrambler 400 Primary Clutch

Well I have been doing a starter on my Polaris Scrambler 400. I took the clutch off to get to the back bolts for the starter. When assembling today, 2 of the 6 side bolts that hold the primary clutch together broke when tightening. It is NOT my main bolt, just 2 of the 6 bolts on the sides. They are very light duty, and do not look to do anything important, but wondering if I should be alarmed.

Yes! Tap these bolts out if you have to and replace them. The clutch spring rides under this cover and all it will do is wobble and possibly cause the other bolts to loosen and really cause problems.. Try matching them up at any good hard ware store. Worst case go to a dealer, should have some bolts laying around. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
