I'm new to ATV's in general. I see th same thing happening in these forums as with the R/C Radio Control racing car forums. IT seems like lots of people have problems with their ATV's from many different brands.

Did you ever sit back and wonder about the people having these problems. I know in the R/C that 99% of the time it was not the product but the person using it or not using it for its intended use. If you want a racing quad then buy on but don't buy a recreational one and expect it to be a top level racer. Polaris is not known for racing and does not promote that. They promote trail riding and utility work.

Anyone else have any feelings on this subject.

wyd,
you make a very valid point. Many times you will see guys post of the problems that they are having with differant type ATVs,and usually, the ATV was NOT intended to be used in the manner in which they use it.Use a utility to jump?A racer in deep/serious mud?And they wonder why they have problems?

I agree, there are lemons in the ATV market as well as anything else, however,if one was to use the ATV for its intended purpose,I'd bet there would be alot less ATV malfuntions out there?

Another thing to consider is modifications. If you pipe, port, and bump up the compression on your machine, add a clutch kit and bigger tires, you are stressing most major components in ways they were never designed for.
