I was in the local polaris dealer trying to get one of those 100W bulbs. Then parts man gets on me telling me I fry my electrical system, etc. etc. Would one of you happen to have the part number, or model of snowmobile that it's in.

Thanks
Jeremy

Do not try to get the 100W bulb at the Polaris dealer. Go to a UAP/NAPA or Pep Boys type of place (Automotive) and ask for a halogen "H3" 12 volt 100W. H3 is the style of bulb it is. These are cheap cheap!

I picked up a H3 100W bulb today and when I took the headlight assembly it was'nt even close. I had a tiny little bulb(H3) with a wire attached. The one in my bike was a H4 it said 60/55W and it was alot bigger. Any suggestions?

thanks

Sorry I assumed that the bulb in your SP500 was the same as the Scrambler and Sport 400 lights. They have H3 bulbs in them. You have a H4 bulb in yours. Sorry but take it back to the place you bought it and tell them you want a 100W H4 bulb.

You say your stock one was a 45/65 watt? These are the watt ratings in high and low beam. The 100w you are about to buy will probably be a 55/100 watt. That means 55W at low beam and 100W at high beam. This H4 bulb is the same style used in most automotive headlight assemblies. It may cost a little more than the H3 you bought but not much.

Again soory for the bad info. My Sport 400 has a H3 bulb.

Has anyone tried the "blue" light bulb, I hear they worked even better than the higher wattage white light.
