Ok, I know that this is not the intended use for the forum, but I'm using this to keep me out of trouble. My wife has a '99 400 Scrambler. Two weeks ago, she saw a '98 500 (purple) and fell in love with it. All the riding we do and all the 4 wheelers we see, she had never seen a purple one. Thats all she's talked about since. So last week I secretly ordered the purple plastic, yellow seat cover, yellow decals, yellow hood, Douglas Rims, etc...etc. A few nights ago we changed the tires & rims (thanks Anthony) Its starting to resemble a purple & yellow DS650. Last night we received some yellow plastic to make fender flares, traced & cut those out (they look incredibly good). The DG front bumper/skid pan arrived today. All the shock covers & stickers came in today also. Her bike is going to look great! I know she'll be suprised. She gets alot of attention because she is usually one of the only women that rides, so she likes to make certain things look good. She thinks its been in the shop being serviced, and I've had to lie about where I've been every night this week. So maybe after she reads this I won't be in the dog house for so long! So this post is to serve as proof that I have not been out drinking every night this week, I've been working on your bike! Hope you enjoy.

That is so cool Jerome!! I'll bet that she will be soooo surprised and happy. Personally, I liked the purple scramblers the best and I really don't care for the all-red line-up that polaris has for the scram's now. I sure would love a purple one. It sounds like her quad ROCKS!! Hope you don't get in trouble for all of your trouble.

I am dissapointed in the all-red Polaris sport models too. I liked the white/black '97 Scrambler 400, and yellow/red '99 Sport, A LOT! The other color Scramblers/Sports look nice, but those were my favorite. The red looks good, I like it better than purple, but I liked how the purple stood out from others. You can tell what someone was riding before they even got close. Now its.... "Is it a Scrambler 400? 500? Sport? 400EX? Banshee?" etc...

Oh well, I like the red, just not that it's the only color. Back to subject, you have a nice 400 is sounds like, can't wait to see it!

 

Jerome, You the man! She is gonna love it. That was a killer idea. So how does the dg bumper look, I was thinking of ordering it for mine. Does it come with the bolts to install it or use existing hardware. We might be heading up to Brown mnt this coming weekend for a campout. It would be a good place to show off the new colors. I think maybe the leaves have started changing up there also.
