Hope you'll like the 08 carb model. Last model that had an honest to goodness recoil starter and not a "flywheel cover" like the 2009 and up. On the starter bendix replacement,look at the pick up coil to make sure it hasn't been damaged or the bracket bent outward.

 

Cleaned everything up and put the recoil back on... 1 pull and it was running.. didnt miss a beat.
Waiting for bendix to come in and should be good to go.

 

Make sure the recoil rope is fully seated on the recoil cover. If sloppy add a dab of silicone to it. If water gets in, you are in trouble.
