Rear Cargo options

I'm sure this has been beat to death already but one more time please.

Polaris 570 Sportsman 2015 model.

Thoughts on the Polaris brand lock and ride hard side box?
Another one we saw (on line no close retailers) is the Ogio semi-rigid, thoughts?

Riding will be limited, for now, to long day trips. I like to take lots of stuff, just in case, so we can be as self sufficient as possible.

Oh and I like to buy good stuff so $$ is of little concern..

Can't speak about real world conditions only the owners can,but when the lock and ride boxes first came out we sold a ton of them. People were tired of removing straps, tie downs, bungee cords to remove bags and boxes. All you had to do was flip 4 levers and pull the boxes off.Just as quick mounting them back up. Only had a couple complaints that involved the rubber hold down plugs and we carried those in stock for quick fixes.

The main recommendation for me is to go hard side. Most of my buddies who have had soft-sided bags hated how the mud caked on and many of them got lots of dust inside. I have a Tamarack hard side which I really like. If I was buying new I really like the Otter medium ATV box.. It is pretty big but holds a lot of stuff. Haven't done the lock and ride (old machine I own) but I know for me that the straps I use are pretty stretched out and the lock and ride seems to be a good idea..

My friends have lock and ride boxes on an 850 and a 1000 Sportsman and they're probably similar to the box for a 570. They hold quite a lot of stuff. Both guys like the boxes but there was a little bit of noise where it sounded like it was moving when they hit big bumps. They both put a strip of good 3M Velcro along the back edge of the box and rack and it stopped moving.

Kolpin has a lock and ride option for their rear trail box now. Im liking the size of the kolpin box.

Thanks for the info. I'll be down in Denver in the next few days to go look at some.

The lock and ride cargo box in the video looks like what my friends have. I don't know what size cooler that was but you can put a couple of six pack coolers in each box and still have a lot of room for a helmet and cargo. I don't know anyone that puts a helmet in their box anyway except just to see if it fits so that leaves a lot of room for beer and cargo. I think you could put 4 or 5 six pack coolers in one box but I haven't seen anyone try. If you need more than that you need a bigger cooler. My cooler is bigger and won't fit in any cargo box I've seen.

The ogio lock & ride is great. Never had anything get wet/muddy inside, holds up great, and has plenty of storage space.
