Yes I found that too, I just want to know if people have had any luck with them, worth the money or keep searching for OEM.

It's either 82 bucks for this one or 359 bucks for an oem. Other have had reported fairly good results with the bst34 replacement from zoom-zoom and Caltric, but first time I've seen this replacement for the bst40. Hopefully others that may have gotten one will chime in.

Update: Ordered a carb from Caltric $55 us and since I'm in Canada it was $107 + $14 CAN to my door.
Took the new one apart to check jets and such and I'm very impressed by this carb. There is virtually no difference between the OEM and this knock off.
Once installed, which required no modifications at all, a few cranks to get the gas to the bowl, it fired up and ran perfect immediately.
Set the idle to 1250 and off we go! Taking it out this morning to see how it works under load. Will post the results later today.
I've put about 400 mikes on it since my last update, was getting used to riding a lame pig, just adjust your style..lol
I'm always leary on the knock off stuff but maybe this will help others that are thinking about saving money buying the knockoff parts.

I'm impressed too.. Saved yourself some big bucks versus the oem Mikuni.

Well.... I spoke too soon. Even though it starts and idles like a new machine, it still loads up under load. If i put it to the bar, goes great, if I'm trying to putt around.. its a disaster.
I'm going to try and change the needle setting to lean it out some but I don't know how thats going to be.
My frustration level is 11/10 on this heap!

Couple stupid questions but do you have the air box and filter installed? Checked fuel pump flow by pulling the fuel line from the carb and cranking the engine over? Also have you drained fuel and started over from fresh? Needle position is usually second position from the top for the e clip.Checked valve clearance .006 intake and exhaust?

Air box installed and even used a rag to improve the seal, fuel flow is good. E clip is supposed to be at 3 but now have it at 1 and its still rich. checked valve clearance and cam about 4 months ago. and I've put 400 miles on it in the last 2 months, so fresh high test fuel has been run through it fo a while now.
Flat level seems to spec, but now i have gas dripping from the overflow hose on the bottom of the carb.

Not enough difference in the main jet to cause problems. Fuel dripping from the carb, yes that can cause the problem on loading up,then taking fuel and running ok as rpms increase.Recheck the float level. This carb (if it is a direct BST40 clone) has the funky float that has to be set right.

Performed old school float level check with a clear hose from the bottom drain.. float level was a bit high.. so I lowered it and rechecked. now its even with the base of the carb to bowel. was about a 1/4" above base gasket. and now its not dripping fuel while its running.
I guess it's time for another test ride!
