I only touch my brakes if my life is in danger , now my brake pads last for years without changing. LOL

Last time out, the only time I think i used my brakes was going down a steep hill that was pretty wet and muddy. At the bottom was a hard left turn between 2 trees. I had to get on the brakes to avoid sliding into the tree on the right.

I cant believe EBS is a option it this day and age. My 2001 Sportsman had EBS stock and so did both 2007 350 Bruin / Grizzly I bought.
A new 570 should just have engine braking included stock like it has tires and a seat.
It's standard on EVERY OTHER brand except Polaris.

Default Polaris Engine Brake

Last year I purchased a 2015 Polaris 570. It does not have and engine brake. I'm very satisfied with the machine. A couple of months ago I purchased a 2016 Polaris 570 with Engine Braking System. Two weeks ago, I rode it for the first time. We made a 42 mile loop in an Idaho mountain area. I was very dissapointed with the braking system. It locked the wheels on the downhills. I am 66 years old and have ridden motorcycles and ATVs my entire life. I raced moto cross in my younger years. I would consider the braking system to be dangerous for someone with limited ATV experience. I have returned the 570 to the dealer, and am awaiting a reply from the factory. Hopefully, something can be done to disable the EBS.

Don't be surprised if they won't do it. The SP has ADC (active crescent control) on the front diff. Without engine braking ADC alone can be dangerous. Just need to finesse the EBS, once the clutches wear in it should not be as aggressive.

Buy the 570 sp dual A arms larger wheels and tires, eps a must have, automotive paint.
I have a 2017 570/850 sp and they bothe have engine breaking and active decent control but you have the option to turn active decent control off.

As the guy said above the active decent control can be dangerous example going down a steep hill when not ready for it you may find yourself going over the handle bars if not ready for adc and thats one reason Polaris has option of turning adc off.

Since he hasn't posted anywhere on the forum in a little over 2 years, I'm guessing that he already made up his mind. But we'll never know if he doesn't come back and tell us.

No problem. People do that all the time. I get on here every day if I can but only look at threads that have new posts in them. But if I'm looking for something specific it's a whole different story. It would have been nice if the OP said what he got, even if was something else.
