Polaris 570 Bighorns install
Do I need wheel spacers for my 26" Bighorn tires install?
Also what should be the PSI for front and rear tires? Thanks, R' |
Whether you need spacers or not depends on the width of the tires. 26" diameter shouldn't cause any clearance problems if they're stock width.

I think they are, is it 5 PSI on the tires?

Tire pressure is going to depend on application and just which bighorn you end up with also. 5 is a good place to start on an atv, maybe double that for a sxs.

Should be fine without spacers and 5-7 psi should be fine.

Check owners manual but probably in that range on your 570's stock tires. Too much/at the top of the psi range will make for a less forgiving ride and less grip over obstacles. Too little and you risk coming off the bead unless running beadlock rims.

5 psi is what I run on just about any tire I have ever used. Good combination of ride and traction at that setting. I'm 205 lbs myself. Most tires are fine down to about 2 psi without coming off the rim. If you're a bit heavier rider, 5 psi should still be more than sufficient. The only issue in that case would probably be trying to go too low like the 2 psi lower limit. A few extra lbs of rider or gear would probably result in the tire popping off at extremely low pressures. At 5 psi, all should be fine.

I always air up my stock tires to 5 psi like it says or 5.5 and it seems to work okay. I'd start their with aftermarket tires too.
