2015 Sportsman 850 CVT question

What is the best method to keep water out of the CVT casing? When I first got it, I do not recall the belt slipping that much, but after a few hundred hours it seems to be happening more and more.

Are there snorkel kits made for this?

Thanks!

If you drive in a lot of water then yes snorkels will help plus always check the condition of the clutch cover seal. Plenty of places that will take your money. POLARIS SPORTSMAN XP 300 550 500 600 700 800 850 1000 SNORKEL KIT

Or you do as some have and make your own.

In the past I have removed the cover and checked the gasket/seal and coated it with silicone grease, the heavy stuff then put it back together. Never had a leak after that but also made sure I didn't go in deeper than the case vent. You will either need to snorkel it or pay closer attention to the depth of water you run in.

Make sure the inside cover is sealed between it and the engine and the clutch cover seal is good. Easiest/most reliable way to snorkel is to order all of the plumbing from the 850/1000 Highlifter models. The clutch cover has a goofy shape that is hard to get a good seal on since the aftermarket kits are pvc. It's about the same cost as as ordering an aftermarket kit.
