I replaced my stator on my grizz. While I was waiting for the stator to come in, the wheeler sat for maybe 2 days. It ran fine before the new stator was put in. After installing the new stator, I put it all together, and now it backfires very loud, and once even knocked my carb boot off? What is wrong with it, the timing? or what?

Sounds like something timing would do but better off asking the good people in the Yamaha section that own and work on these machines.
