Also have code 41
|
Code 41 applies to air temp sensor. Sensor can be mounted in the rear of the box like the 800 or in the air duct. Usually this code is thrown in with other codes or can appear by itself and usually not a problem. You can take a soft cloth and wipe the sensor tip off.

New TBAP wiring harness from OTB Same old rough idle and stall. At a loss now :-( |
Code 45 now...
|
Code 45 and 46 point directly to the t-bap.. I'd recheck your connections, plus you may have to go past the length of wiring supplied and check where it runs into the main harness loom for any bare or soft feeling t-bap wiring.I've found several problems in there also.

i made sure i made absolutaly solid connections and matched the colors according to directions. I checked the wires all the way up to the front of the bike. I inspected the section of harness I took out and they were all solid also with no sign of break or wear. I guess I'll look again. If I re-did the connection I'm pretty sure I'd be out of length of new harness to use it again. Ready to push this thing off a cliff. |
Went back and checked over my work again. Made sure connections were perfect. Ran for a few minutes and died. And now have codes
45, 22, 41, 51, and 52.... I didn't even change anything from when I touched it last. |
Manual says 85% of the time it's a wiring problem when codes are thrown or having running problems. On rare occasions the t-bap itself can be faulty, but I don't remember replacing one myself. You can take a chance on a new one,but if it still runs crappy and throws the code, still would think it's a wiring problem somewhere. This is the cheapest one I've been able to find at 46 bucks.2411528 Polaris Sensor - Tmap DSS3 - Tf $46.43 - 2WheelPros
