All ready for a 3 day ride next weekend. Also, picked up a bag/cooler for the rear rack.

Well, all I can say, is that it was a blast. 8 machines, and not one breakdown.

It sounds like a good time. Whoever got the dirtiest had the most fun. ;) Now, when are going to paint that radio? That that it matters if it's covered in mud.

Powerranger262 09-18-2018 06:06 AM

Hahaaa, we found some mud. There's a pipeline that's just like a playground for atvs and trucks.
The radio was a big hit. It was awesome listening to something besides the engine all day long. Buddy of mine kept pulling up along side of me to listen to it on the long stretches. Then it was nice to have for around the campfire at night. Rode all day with it, and it only used 1 bar on the battery. It really took some abuse from vibrations and water.

Looks like a great time had by all.

Rode with some fast bikes. A 580 can am, a 700 Yamaha, a 700 Honda, and a 800 Can Am. That 800 Can Am was just unbelievable.

Couldn't stand it being that dirty.

Will dirt just fall off of the tires or stick worse now? I try to avoid mud, unlike before when I'd go out of my way to go through it. To wash mine I leave it uncovered and wait for a good rainstorm. If I want to get the rest of it "clean" I'll hose it down. I haven't used a bucket of soapy water and scrubbed it in a few years.

Powerranger262 10-25-2018 05:30 AM

Depending on if I decide to take it hunting with me, it probably wont see dirt for a while. Once I plow snow a few times, it will all be off. It's the same stuff I use on my truck, and it hasn't made anything stick to that.
For the wash, I hit it with a foam cannon hooked up to my pressure washer. Let that soak in for a bit, then sprayed everything off real good. Then handwashed with a bucket and sponge. Sprayed down again. Let it dry, and sprayed and wiped it all with Meguiars hot shine.

Wash day again. Finally stopped raining for a minute.
