Plate is nasty looking.Too tight or too loose on the hub nut can destroy them. Face of the hub seal sleeve and part of the inner pole are worn, but try a new plate and see if that solves the problem. When ready to assemble, preload the bearings to 15 foot pounds while turning the hub slowly, back off the hub nut and torque to 10 foot pounds. If you have to tighten the nut or loosen it a tad to align the cotter pin holes that should be ok. If you still have engagement problems on that side, the hub seal sleeve may needed to be replaced.

One more question- is there any advantage of getting Polaris OEM over the Amazon version?? The OEM is a bit more but all it is is a round piece of metal with 3 tabs. I also premix my own gas, is 32:1 too much? It doesn’t smoke too bad and runs pretty good. Is 40:1 better?? I don’t want to run too little, as I know people who have toasted engines running 50:1.

I used oem plates at the shop, never tried an aftermarket plate but I'm pretty sure they'd be ok.40:1 is fine with a good synthetic premix oil. If someone burnt an engine using 50:1,either the engine was ready to go or they were using cheap oil. The oil pumps themselves were set at the factory to mix at a 50:1 ratio.
