Finally.. I don't do tires, windows or dishes, but will occasionally vacuum... I did enough tires at the shop until I was sick of them. 6 ply tires, yes. 55 bucks not a bad price. Just get ones that are suitable for the type driving you'll be doing and pump in some slime also.

Haha, very funny. Yeah I didn't think they were too bad for 55 bucks. Probably go with those or whatever is cheapest.

I was checking a few small things on the quad and thought a bearing was going out on the rear axle, but the nuts were both loose. So I got them tight by hand with a ratchet, not sure if there is a special torque. Anyway, I am already loving the clutch kit!

Snug the axle nut pretty tight and also the locking nut against it. Yes clutches do work pretty good with all new parts..

Today I was riding with some buddies, and after a few hours i stopped, and when i went to start again the secondary clutch was stuck AGAIN! I got it home, opened it up, and found nothing special, except for the faces of the new buttons already ground down to the slope that the helix rides on. Is it normal for them to wear down to normal positions like that so fast?? Nothing on the helix was ground, just the faces of the new buttons. I blew the junk out and now it works fine. Is it okay or should I contact EPI??

Possible then if I remember correctly the ramps on the helix were ground down a bit previously. Possible even if you cleaned them up as much as possible they could be causing premature wear on the buttons. If it's doing ok now just keep a watch on how the clutches are doing. If it grinds down the buttons further you may need to replace the helix also with a fresh set of ramp buttons.

Yes, they had a little bit of roughness, nothing serious I believe. I guess I will see how it does for now. Can you just turn the buttons around for the new side? Also, does EPI sell replacements helixs?

The wear of the buttons was even across the face, so it wasn't digging in in certain areas. I just wondered if it was possible that at first the rounded edges needed to be worn to their straight edge
