Possible if it's set up like some of the 800 Sportsmans I've had problems with. The 20 amp breaker sends the power to the fan relay for the fan to kick on.If the breaker doesn't have power on each side or corroded as some have been, easy to change out and see if that solves it. Some of the Sportsmans breakers were taped to the harness, some were in plastic bags. Here's a taped one from a Rzr.

Well I changed the 20 amp breaker and still no fan. When I unplug the coolant sensor the cel comes on and temp fluctuates, I plug it back in and light goes off and the temp sets. What else could it be?

Pop the fan relay if you haven't done so,clean the pin area and use some electrical grease and swap the relay with one next to it.Most relays are the same.If that doesn't help, the fan is working when hooked up direct though, then I'm kinda lost as I haven't worked on a 2011 model. Kind word to a dealers tech that could give you some pointers or a good manual is what I'm down to on this one.

Ok, well I did some wire tracing today and one of the previous owners relocated the 20 amp breaker. I opened the wire harness and found that the wire was twisted together and that's it. So I cut the corrosion out and redid the wiring and now fan work's.

My dad used to say about buying used cars that you're buying someone else's headache. That would apply equally well to ATVs, boats, anything really. Sometimes you get the goldmine. Sometimes you get the shaft.

I'm gonna do a fluid change on my rzr. Is there other fluids I can run that are a little more price friendly.

There's dozens of threads on oil substitutes on here, the Rzr forums, etc.Engines oils you can use since it's a cvt clutch system is almost endless. Just stay with in the ranges the manual calls for. 0w40,5w40,5w50,even 10w50 in extreme temp areas. Demand Drive Plus for the front diff, Agl for the gear case or equivalents for either from Amsoil or other reputable synthetic brands designed for these machines.

For the engine oil, line up all the full synthetics in the right weight range and throw a dart at them. You're sure to pick a winner.

P.S. Don't get caught doing that at the auto parts store.

I'm heading to the polaris shop in a bit. 90$ for all the fluids and filter isn't that bad u guess. Gotta see how long in between changes is.
