Default 2006 Polaris 300 Hawkeye

Recently purchase a 300 Polaris. I bought kit oil change kit, with oil filter. The manual require 2 quarts of oil. After a few miles I check the engine oil level and it is still fill up to the rim of the dipstick. Should I drain the oil to the level mark on the dipstick?

Yes, overfilling the oil can cause damage to the engine or blow out bearing seals.
