2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 no compression
Hello,
I’ve been browsing the forums for a week or so and decided to join to hopefully get my 500 running. I purchased it used, knowing it didn’t run. It cranks and has spark but it doesn’t appear to have any compression. I’ve looked at the decompression valve and it looks good, and same with the camshaft as I had read there was a potential problem with the exhaust lobes wearing down.
Im hoping it’s the piston rings, but I thought I would see if there are any hints or tips that might help me out.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
