Which hole are you talking? Can u send a picture?
this model has an oil tank near the gas assembly and it automaticall6 premixes the oil with the gas. With a 2 stroke you mix oil and gas to get oil to the engine. Check this or another forum for the Polaris service manual and it’ll explain.
btw - if you got this bike from someone ask them if they bypassed th3 oil injection. Some people d9nt like the auto mix and shut it off and mix oil and gas in the tank...

The polaris guys answered my question. As far as the oil pump, it looks like they capped off the line for it. I guess I have to mix it myself. I dont know who previous owner was. Also wanted to see if you knew a place or website to get cheap parts. I've tried local junk yards but nobody around here has any for that year. Also tried Ebay but some people want a lot for old parts. Thanks for your help. By the way that hole I put oil in was for the crank case where the pull start is. They told me just to loosen bolts and drain.

I get most of my 1986 parts from BikeBandit.com - only a few places have the 1986 parts. For the more common stuff or after market eBay or even Amazon worked for me. In some cases you'll find that the 1986 OEM part just isn't available anywhere. In that case your only chance is to find something used on eBay...
Good luck - i'm restoring a '86 myself....

by the way, I bought a transmission from Ebay and wasnt sure of the fit so when I got it the bolt pattern seemed to match up. My question is, will any transmission work as long as I can match the bolts up?
