Fast idle after throttle cable replacent
#1
I just replaced my throttle cable on my 2003 polaris sportsman 700. I bought an after market replacement which stated it was an OEM replacement exact fit. Everything went back together, cable moved freely. When I started it up the idle speed was super high. Idle adjustment screw not touching the throttle body. It appears that the throttle body is pulled to high in the carburetor and not fully descending to a normal idle. Any thoughts?

Check the free play adjuster on the new cable that's under the rubber boot up near where it comes out of headlight pod might not have enough freeplay Also check for cable routing issues may be binding somewhere?
