Unscrew the carb drain screw, just to make sure you're getting gas in the carb.

I had the same quad, and this was never and issue. Even switched the carb from a 330 Trail Boss and it fired up. Jetting was another issue, but it did start.

Have you looked inside the new carb to make sure it's got all the right jets in it?

Mine as well as a lot of others were very cold natured quads, even in the summer. So when it does start, don't be surprised if it needs to warm up just a bit.

Not sure that it would keep it from starting, but you may want to check out the choke plunger assembly if you haven't already.

It's not used, but I'd bet it's been sitting on a shelf for a long time. Depending on how it was stored, it could have weakened any rubber in it. Just another possibility.

If you've got a good spark, you're getting air and fuel into the carb and it's not starting, I would say it would be something inside the carb.

A very small hole in the diaphragm, or maybe a small crack would cause it to not work properly. Not running smoothly or not starting is one sign.

Have you checked the compression or the valve clearance?
