2002 sportsman 700 new ignition
 

Just bought a 2002 sportsman 700. It runs rough and I was thinking it was a carb problem but now I see all the ignition problems these have. Owner said dealer put new ignition update in but how can I tell if it really is. The quad runs better with choke on

If it was me I would clean the carb to rule it out. I believe running better on choke is possible clogged or dirty idle jet Shindy carb kits are 20-30$ comes with all new jets and float needle valve 700's ? done my 500 and 330 Polaris' keep us posted

The original Ducati ign. module is silver colored , if you have the upgrade { Kokusan } it should be a black ign. module .
