2001 polaris trailblzer 250 pull start not grabing flywheel

ok guys so my pull start broke and i had to take it to a shop to get repaired because it is different than any thing i have seen. so i got the pull start fixed but when i place it back onto the atv it just loosely pulls the rope out and will not catch the fly wheel and turn it any thoughts?

some what Resolved !

ok guys so first thing i did was spray PB blaster into the housing of the bull starter and let it soak into that mechanism. then i cut down the spring a little bit to get it to snap back nicely. after doing both of those things i sprayed a little bit of lithium grease into the mechanism and lightly taped on it with a hammer then i started working the mechanism by pulling the cord in and out until i got the peace that's spose to come out and grab the wheel on the fly wheel to come in and out very good. at this point i re-installed it onto the atv but it was still not working. i remembered i read some where a while back that the fly wheel has to be in a certain position. I'm not sure if it was luck or not but i turned the fly wheel until i felt some tension and re installed the pull start setup and bam just like that it was functioning great. sorry for the crappie explanation.

Congrats! Glad you were able to fix it.

Hopefully you can get a refund from the shop that "fixed" it the first time since they obviously didn't do their job.
