2010 polaris sportsman 500ho doesnt like water
 

while riding the sporty 500 when i find any water it decides to run like junk, best way to explain it is sounding like its running on one of two cylinders even though it is only a single cylinder machine.

it clears up shortly after getting out of the water or mud

die-electric greased all electrical connections to be sure that its not in a connection

when in deep water it smells like its running very rich so would it possibly be fuel related?

Kinda just sick of scratching my head at this one and hope to have someone lead me in the right direction

sounds almost like the spark plug wire is breaking down while getting wet. you could try spraying it with silicone as a cheap quick fix to at least rule it out.

Thanks for the reply, ive tried to see if that was causing the issue by spraying the wire while running with a hose and cant duplicate it unless im riding. Will give it a shot though as im kinda at ends with this issue.

How deep of water are we talking here?

anything from 3-8" all the way to seat deep, when it splashes it just gets mad.
