04 polaris 90, 1 spark at each start attempt
Hi guys... new member.
I have read a few posts similar to my problem but it seems like they go off a different path.
I have a 2004 polaris predator 90... always ran like a champ. My son was trail riding and I was with him.. got in some mud/water.. not swamped... just splashing up on motor and it died.. Wouldn't restart so pulled it home.
Cleaned it up .. no spark, so I put a new plug in.. still no spark. Checked several connections.. took stator off.. it was very dirty. Stator tested bad so I replaced it with a Ricky stator.. went through every connection and cleaned and put dielectric grease.
So now I have 1 good strong spark each time I hit switch... it fires 1 time... I can continue to hold starter switch and have nothing after that first spark.
I have checked the little switch inside throttle on handlebars... hold throttle just a punch to break contact and still does the same thing.
I'm lost now... any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
