Does anyone know what the correct kind/part # is for the Dayco drive belt that replaces the Polaris brand. I have heard that the Dayco is better than the Polaris brand but I do not know what name/part # of Dayco I need. I am specifically talking about the Scramber 500s.
Thanks,
Mark

RG,
As for specific Dayco part number, I'm not sure... But, from what I understand, All Polaris machines use the same belt, and most dealerships around here carry the Dayco replacement.. Alot of them won't put a Polaris belt on anything except warranty work.
Shadetree Powersports carries it, and their part number is #22-87 its 26.99.
I wish I could remember what I paid for mine at the local dealership so I could say whether that was a good price or not.. but sorry, brain slippage..
Anyway, YES, there are definite advantages to the Dayco belt...
Good Luck!!

I just have had my DAYCO belt on my scrambler 500 for a good two weeks and it is working very good. I got it from Dennis Kirk (800)328-9280 Part# for all 1985-99 except models with EBS 02-420 $37.99
